Pet Remembrance Day
If you’ve ever lost a beloved pet, and you want to keep them in your memory forever, then this post is for you.
It's the National Pet Remembrance Day on July 5th, which is the day people come together every year to remember a departed animal friend. And this entire weekend - we would like to honor and remember them.
We’re going to show you some thoughtful ways to remember your buddy right here…
Have a memorial service
Hold a memorial service in your pet’s favorite place - the spot where they loved to walk, for example. Invite some family and friends and share the things you loved most about your pet.
Plant a memorial tree
Planting a tree in your pet’s honor is a lovely way to keep them in your memory. The tree will stay there for decades as a permanent reminder of your special little friend.
Create an online memorial
Share memories of your departed pet on social media with the hashtag #PetRemembranceDay, or make an online memorial like a website with photos and stories.
Get a memento made
Use a photo of your pet to get a special memento made like a keyring, mug or poster. You could also get a local artist to paint a picture of them and hang it in your home.
Don’t forget your new pet
It can be very sad when a pet passes, but you shouldn’t let that stop you from lavishing your new pet with love and affection. We recommend treating them to a Pupnaps Calming Dog Bed. They’ll adore the soft, squishy design and how blissfully relaxed it will make them feel.
